At just 95 grams, the 6500 is light for a 3G phone. It is also only 9.5mm thick, and the attractive casings are individually polished to make them individual.
So far, so good. The 6500 is really pitching itself as a 3G fashion phone.
The seductive feel of smooth aluminium- the pleasure of perfectly balanced and delightfully compact form. Enjoy fast download and web browsing with 3G mobile broadband. Store all your music, images and movies with 1GB of integrated memory.
The Nokia 6300 is positioned as a designer solution, but at the same time it belongs to the Connect – Contemporary category in Nokia’s books, like the Nokia 6500 classic. While the former device has been pushed under the motto «Simply Beautiful», the latter has had a couple of aspects highlighted, with materials, rather than design, being the centerpiece of the ad campaign. The maker doesn’t trick us, claming that the device is made of metal – indeed, the top part is made of anodized aluminum. And, no matter how you look at it, on the top, metal is everywhere. At the same time they claim every device has unique front polishing to it, there are no two models that look alike.

The model comes in two color schemes – black and bronze. Either looks fetching, on top of that very model ships with a color-keyed theme, which adds certain chic to it.

The handset’s buttons are made of plastic and lit in white, which is well-visible in various environments. The keys are average in size and employ terraced layout, but more importantly, the 6500 Classic does well on the ergonomics front, the buttons are easy to tap and very responsive.

The model is extremely interesting in design solutions, in particular it combines various materials like metal and plastic. And if other manufacturers speaking about a metallic body mean some kind of sputtering here it is real metal. That's enough to take a back panel of the device off and you'll see a metallic plate. You may scratch it and get sure the material is not fake.
A unique feature of the phone is clearly seen with a naked eye. That is an external screen. This is the first time that the screen is colour in a Nokia clamshell. It shows 4096 colours (STN) and has the resolution of 96x65 pixels (25x19 mm). Wallpapers and color schemes may be set for the screen in the menu.
Call signal, battery charge and info about current events are always displayed on it. A caller photo may be displayed on the external screen during incoming calls. Considering a small size of the screen and the fact that a photo is shown only on one fourth of the screen you'll have to use your imagination to recognize the one on the picture. I do not completely understand why showing the photo on the whole screen has not been realized still.

What Works: Boost Protein
Protein can take about 4 hours to digest, while carbs take only 2; slower digestion means you feel fuller longer. Plus, protein may help jack up your metabolism: In a new study from Purdue University, dieters who ate 30% of their calories from protein preserved more lean body mass while losing weight than those who ate only 18%. The more lean body mass you hold on to, the more calories you burn at rest.

Do It Your Way
Forget the cheese and bacon of diets past; instead, add a little protein to every meal and snack

Choose healthy sources

That means proteins with unsaturated fats (like salmon and soy), not the cholesterol-boosting saturated kind (packed into fatty cuts of beef and whole dairy products).

Stick to proper serving sizes
Three ounces of lean meat looks like a deck of cards, the same amount of fish is the size of a checkbook, and your thumb marks an ounce of cheese.

Add protein to your favorites
Combine ground turkey or shrimp with spaghetti and sauce; stir 1 ounce of walnuts into oatmeal; spread a little almond butter on toast before the jam.

What Works: Replace Meals with Bars and Shakes
These products make portion control a snap. "It's calorie cutting without a calculator," says Nonas. An analysis of studies from Columbia University found that women who had one to two liquid meal replacements daily lost an extra 2 pounds per month compared with other dieters who had the same calories.

Do It Your Way
Think of a bar or shake as your go-to food when you're in a pinch. Whether you use them as a meal or as a snack, look for at least 3 g of fiber, 10 g of protein, and 3 g or less saturated fat, and follow these healthy eating guidelines:

As a meal: Most bars and shakes have about 220 calories, so pair either with a small salad with low-fat dressing or a piece of fruit to help fill you up.

As a snack: Between meals, 220 calories is too much. If you have a bar late in the afternoon, for example, cut dinner by half to keep your calorie counts in check.

The author of a popular diet book “Eat Right for Your Type”, Dr. Peter J. D’Adamo, states that healthy weight can be achieved by eating in accordance with our blood type. People gain weight because they eat wrong foods - the foods, which can be harmful for their blood type genetics. Our ancient ancestors were lean and energetic, since their bodies were designed to efficiently consume and expend fuel they needed for the peak performance.

As the blood type diet is tailored to the cellular composition of our bodies that carry the ancient blood type genes, specific foods will cause either weight gain or weight loss depending on our blood type.

People with blood type O carry the most ancient blood genes of all of us. They are direct descendants of Palaeolithic hunters and gatherers, whose digestive tract still functions the most efficiently when their diet is close to that of the cavemen. Type Os are best described by the following:
- meat eaters;
- possess hardy digestive tract;
- are intolerant to dietary adaptation;
- need intense physical activity to stay lean and alert;
- are prone to sluggish metabolism and weight gain if eat wrong foods.

In other words, people with blood type O require daily physical exercise and a diet based on natural animal products with an addition of fruits and vegetables. Their Palaeolithic ancestors ate high-protein, high-fat diets with very few carbohydrates, and their bodies were able to efficiently metabolise such fuel into energy and high performance. But if a person with blood type O consumes a diet high in carbohydrates and poor in fats and protein, he will inevitably gain weight.

More specifically, if a type O wants to lose fatty tissues, the basic approach is to restrict or even eliminate the consumption of grains, breads, legumes, and beans, because the leading factor in weight gain for type Os if the gluten found in wheat and other whole grains. The gluten lectins inhibit the type 0 insulin metabolism, thus interfering with the efficient use of calories for energy. The consumption of beans are legumes are another weight-gain factor, because the lectins contained in these products tend to disrupt type O acid/alkaline balance and slow down their metabolism. One more weight-contributing factor is a low level of type O thyroid hormone function. The symptoms  of underactive thyroid include weight gain, edema, fatigue, and muscle loss.

To sum up, if people with blood type O want to lose excess pounds, they should avoid the following foods:
- whole wheat, rye, and oatmeal products (all of which contain harmful gluten);
- corn (slows metabolism);
- lentils, kidney and navy beans (impair calorie utilization);
- cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and mustard greens (inhibit thyroid production).

type O diet 1 Foods that encourage weight loss in type Os:
- red meats and liver (aid efficient metabolism);
- kelp, seafood, and iodized salt (increase thyroid production);
- broccoli, kale, and spinach (boost metabolism).

A weight-loss strategy for every individual should take into consideration his blood type. The blood type provides the key to the body’s immune, metabolic, and hormonal systems.

It also offers the best solution to staying healthy and getting rid of excess weight, but only if people with particular blood types adhere to a diet that is genetically designed for them.

Individuals with blood type AB carry the most modern blood genes that have emerged about 10 - 12 centuries ago from the intermingering of type A Caucasians with type B Mongolians. This blood type is rare, so people carrying it currently represent less than 5 percent of the world population. Type ABs may be the perfect metaphor for modern life: complex and unsettled, because they have the most complicated and often perplexing blood type identity. Carriers of blood type AB can be characterized as following:
-   dairy eaters;
-   soy and fish eaters;
-   possess a sensitive digestive system;
-   have a flexible response to changing environment and diet;
-   need a balance between physical, spiritual, and mental activities to stay lean and alert;
-   have a strong and tolerant immune system with an enhance ability to fight infections;
-   are potentially susceptible to different tipes of cancers, allergies, and autoimmune disorders, such as lupus or arthritis;

A weight-loss approach of type ABs reflects the mixed inheritance of their A and B genes. Just like for type As, red meat in large amounts is not recommended for them, since fish and dairy products are the most appropriate sources of protein for the metabolic system of ABs. Just like type Bs, they are prone to hypoglycaemia and do not react well to corn, buckwheat, sesame seeds, and beans. If type ABs want to lose weight, they also have to avoid wheat and other gluten-containing grains.

To sum up, if people with blood type AB want to get rid of excess pounds, they should avoid the following foods containing toxic for them lectins:
-   whole wheat, rye, and oatmeal products (all of which contain harmful gluten that can make their tissues acidic, decrease metabolism, and blocks the conversion of calories into energy);
-   corn and buckwheat (slow digestive processes, cause hypoglycaemia, and promote fat gain);
-   lima and kidney beans (slow metabolic rate and cause hypoglycaemia);
-   seeds (cause hypoglycaemia);
-   red meat (poorly digested, toxifies the digestive system, promote weight gain).

Foods that aid efficient metabolism and encourage weight loss in type ABs are:
-   seafood (except for sole and flounder), especially snails, tuna, rainbow trout, and sardines;
-   cultured and soured dairy products, such as cottage cheese, sour cream, kefir and yogurt;
-   eggs;
-   tofu; and
-   green vegetables, especially beet leaves, broccoli.

Sample weight-loss menu for people with blood type AB:

Breakfast: 2 poached eggs, 1 slice of non-gluten bread with cottage cheese, 1 grapefruit, and a glass of water with lemon.
